Dr. Meg Skibitsky graduated magna cum laude from James Madison University in Harrisonburg, Virginia with a Bachelor’s in Chemistry. She received her Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), where she also completed a Master of Public Health (MPH). She did her residency in Internal Medicine at the University of Utah. During her residency she won the Intern of the Year award, and she was also chosen to be a Chief Medical Resident following her general residency.
After graduating from Internal Medicine residency, she went on to complete a fellowship in Geriatric Medicine. She is Board Certified in both Internal Medicine and Geriatrics. Following training, she practiced in Utah prior to moving to Sandpoint, Idaho. Dr. Meg grew up on a farm in rural Virginia, and she is grateful to finally return to small town life here in Sandpoint.
When not practicing medicine, she enjoys spending time with her husband, two daughters, and friends and exploring all the beauty that Bonner County has to offer.
Shania knew she wanted to pursue a career in medicine from a young age. She obtained her Certified Nurse’s Assistant certification while still in high school and she graduated with high honors. She has over 10 years’ experience in a wide range of healthcare settings including outpatient surgery, inpatient hospital, community health center, and outpatient internal medicine. She is always striving to increase her knowledge. She obtained her Certified Medical Assistant through North Idaho College where she also completed courses in mental health, phlebotomy, and first aid. She is CPR certified. She brings positive energy to all her patient interactions and is very detail oriented.
She enjoys working with patients from all walks of life, especially the elderly, and getting to know her patients on a more personal level. She was born and raised here in Sandpoint and loves all that the community has to offer. When she is not caring for patients, she can be found spending time with her amazing family & girlfriend and being a “Fur Mama” to her 4 cats and dog.
Rachael is our amazing Patient Care Coordinator. She brings with her a wealth of experience. She has her associate degree in healthcare science and previously was the Patient Care Coordinator at Mountain Lake Surgery Center. She is currently pursuing her bachelor’s in nursing as an Honors Student at Eastern Washington State University. She is CPR and Phlebotomy certified. She is constantly striving to expand her knowledge base as a student and life-long learner, gaining the knowledge and experience needed to be of the best service to our patients. When Rachael is not in classes, or outdoors exploring, she spends her time with her beloved partner, puppy, and cat.
Sanna is a certified coder and biller with AHIMA and has been coding and billing for 12 years. She lives in Sandpoint where she was born and raised. When not working, she loves spending time in her gardens.
Jerilyn McKeon PharmD, BCACP graduated with her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from Washington State University in 2007. She is a Board Certified Ambulatory Care Pharmacist who is passionate about helping patients reach their healthcare goals. Having practiced as a Pharmacist for over 17 years, she is experienced in both Community and Ambulatory Care Pharmacy services. She established her consulting business, The Humble Rx Mom, to broaden her reach and help others. Jerilyn and Dr. Meg worked together at the University of Utah and they are excited to continue working together at Lakeshore Health.
Jerilyn is passionate about helping patients through shared decision making. Jerilyn takes pride in working collaboratively with Dr. Skibitsky and her patients to optimize and individualize their medication regimens. She believes by utilizing an interdisciplinary healthcare team and addressing the patient’s whole self, such as incorporating lifestyle modifications in addition to optimizing medication regimens, we will meet the ultimate goal of helping patients to feel better. She is a mother of 4 and proud grandmother of 1.
